Grading: Tests (2) 200pts, 10 Labs + field trips 110 pts, Lab notebooks (2) 50 pts. Each will be graded on a 10 point scale, unless otherwise noted.

Total points = 360

Extra credit options are available. Please see me if you are interested. All projects are subject to approval by me or Dr. Kite.

NOTES

NO CELL PHONES!!!

Attendance is mandatory. Excused absences will be accepted. All make up work is the student’s responsibility and must be completed before the next lab period for partial credit.

Assignments should be completed by the beginning of the next lab period. Some labs may be complete at the end of class, while others may take extra time outside of the regular lab time. Arrange lab handouts and materials in a three ring binder to keep organized. Lab notebooks will be turned in prior to taking Exam 1 and 2 with no exceptions.

If you require a make up test, it must be scheduled and completed before the next lab period.

You should have had Geology 101 or 111 before this course, unless given consent by Dr. Kite.

Lab fees must be paid in order to receive a grade for this course.
