GIS / Remote Sensing Track

MS - GIS / Remote Sensing Track
Remote sensing is the study of the Earth with cameras and digital imaging devices carried aboard airplanes and satellites. There are two remote sensing courses in the WVU Department of Geology and Geography, and five GIS courses. Current remote sensing research projects include an investigation of the multispectral thermal properties of rocks and fundamental investigations of image spatial properties.
