Rules of the "Not-so-trivial Geo Game"
The audience is divided into three treams by handing out colored cards when they enter the room.
Two impartial judges are invited, prizes are bought.
Each team sends a "champion" to the floor. Initially only students can be champions. Each one will take a bell and introduce him/herself.
The host reads a question and projects it on the screen.
The first champion to ring the bell gets a chance to answer the question. They can either answer immediately or go back to their teams to consult.
The judges decide who was the first to ring and whether an answer is right or wrong. Numerical answers must be +/-20% to be correct.
If the answer is judged wrong, the other teams get a shot at it (after ringing the bell).
First answer is worth +10 or -10 points.
Second answer is worth +5 or -5.
Third answer is worth +3 or -3.
The decisions of the judges are final (no appeals).
At the end of the hour, prizes are awarded to the team with the most points.
