- 1. Do I need to take Geology 2 (Physical Geology Laboratory)
with Geology 1?

- No. The two classes are offered independently from each other.
It is entirely up to you to take the lab or not.
- The material in Geol. 2 may help you a little bit in getting
a better grade in Geol.1 , but not very much.
- Geol. 2 does fulfill the Cluster C requirement for a laboratory
course.

- 2. Do I need to buy the book?
- Yes. There is reading from the book assigned for most lectures
(see the Syllabus). I recommend that you try to read the chapter
before coming to class, or at the very least keep up with
the reading as we go along.
